Alexia. The visionary leader of this revolutionary project. Recognized for her relentless quest establishing new records, Alexia thrives on associating racing with inspiring education and protecting the environment.
Dee. The first woman ever to have sailed around the world solo without assistance from east to west, that is to say against the prevailing winds and currents and in 2009, by finishing the VendeeGlobe, she became the first woman to have sailed around the world solo in both directions.
ELODIE JANE METTRAUX
Elodie. A leading figure of women's sailing from the infamous training center 'Centre d'Entrainement a la Regatte' in Geneva, Elodie won the prestigious Bol d'Or Mirabaud on Ladycat in 2010 then went on to also win the TFV amateur ranking as co-skipper with Ville de Genève-Carrefour Addictions in 2012. As a member of Dee Caffari's team Volvo Ocean Race, she sailed with the most promising upcoming female sailors from America's Cup Youth and future olympians.
Helena. With a long and distinguished career, Helena is seasoned sailor having sailed on the world's fastest boats along sides celebrated world renowned skippers such as Brian Thompson and Tracy Edwards who have broken 12 world sailing speed records.
Joan. According to Dee Caffari, Joan will never shy away from a challenge. Known for her being a relentlessly reliable, versatile and efficient navigator, the Irish sailor developed her skill set assisting praised skippers prepare for races. Since 2018, Joan began to multiply her own victories, notably in the French Elite championships.
Marie. Hands down one for the sailors to have received the most awards. Specialized in dinghy and sport catamaran racing, she is multiple time French, European and World champion of France across different categories. In 2015, she was elected sailor of the year by the French Sailing Federation and in 2018, she won the grail in the world of sailing and was voted the best sailor in the world.
Mary. The daughter of the iconic sailor, Eric Tabarly, not only has taken on her father's sailing spirit, but has added an unwavering commitment to the preservations of the oceans which instigated her 'Elemen'Terre' project, a four year trip around the world sailing trip accompanied by artists, athletes, intellectuals and celebrities with a common goal of raising awareness and protecting the planet.
Sara. As a professional sailor and international climber, Sara has dedicated her life to global exploration and is reputed for her active participation in protecting human and ecological issues. To date she has sailed the equivalent of 5 times around the planet and aims to be the first women to ever to complete the coveted 7 Seas Summits, sailing all 7 seas and climbing the highest summits of the world's 7 continents.
